Huawei’s HarmonyOS-powered AITO (Hongmeng Zhixing) new-generation Wenjie M9 SUV has exceeded 70,000 cumulative pre-orders, with starting pre-sale prices from ¥499,800. The lineup includes three core trims—M9 Max+/Ultra and M9 Ultimate—available in five- and six-seat layouts and with range-extender or pure-electric four-wheel-drive powertrains. The top Ultimate long-wheelbase variant, when fully loaded, approaches ¥879,800 before taxes and options; with HUAWEI ADS 5 driver-assist, taxes and insurance, the on-road cost could near ¥1,000,000. The M9 went on presale April 22 and Huawei scheduled the official product launch for May 27, signaling strong market demand for its HarmonyOS-based vehicle platform and advanced driving features.
Huawei executive Richard Yu announced that actors Huang Bo and Yu Hewei have been named brand ambassadors for the HarmonyOS-powered AITO M9 (Hongmeng Zhixing Wenjie M9). Huang Bo previously served as a celebrity owner and HarmonyOS driving experience officer for the M9, while Yu Hewei has promoted the model informally as a fan seller. The new-generation AITO M9 series launch event is scheduled for May 27, with preorders opened April 22; pricing starts at ¥499,800 for the standard model and ¥669,800 for the Ultimate extended version. The move supports Huawei’s HarmonyOS automotive branding ahead of the M9 series debut, signaling marketing momentum for its smart-car efforts.
