BYD’s new sub-brand Linghui will launch the Linghui e9 on May 9, essentially a rebadged 2025 BYD e9 with fast-charging and Blade Battery tech. The e9 is listed in China’s MIIT filings with single-motor variants at 135 kW and 150 kW, and two claimed ranges: 535 km and 605 km. It uses BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and “flash charge” capable of charging from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and to 97% in 9 minutes; cold-weather performance adds only ~3 minutes at -30°C. Dimensions and interior large
BYD’s Denza N9 Flash Charge edition will debut on May 18 with a pre-sale price range of ¥450,000–¥500,000. The model features BYD’s second-generation Blade battery (75 kWh) with a CLTC pure-electric range of 420 km and an 18-month free fast-charging benefit. Flash charging enables “5-minute top-up, 9-minute full” claims, with only a 3-minute penalty at −30°C. The N9 Flash Charge keeps the current styling, 22-inch forged wheels, and expands tech with the ‘Tianshen Eye 5.0’ perception stack plus reinforcement learning, a next-gen AI cockpit powered by a large model, and the ‘Yi Sanfang’ chassis-suite enabling advanced maneuvers and stability features. Performance includes a 680 kW motor setup and 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
BYD has filed its first fast-charging plug-in hybrid SUV, the Seal 08, in China’s vehicle approval list. Revealed at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the Seal 08 is positioned as a flagship six-seat SUV in BYD’s Ocean series, featuring flash-charge tech, second-generation blade battery, dual-chamber air suspension (Yundian A), rear-wheel steering, and Taishen Eye 5.0. The model comes in BEV and PHEV variants: BEV ranges up to 900 km CLTC with motor outputs up to 370 kW (single) or combined motors (front 215 kW/rear 370 kW); the PHEV uses a 1.5T engine (115 kW) plus 200 kW front/rear motors and a 400 km pure-electric CLTC range. Dimensions: 5115/1999/1800 mm, 3030 mm wheelbase.
BYD’s new Linghui e9 C-segment electric sedan launched with prices from ¥150,800 to ¥169,800 across three trims. The car offers 60.5 kWh and 64.3 kWh battery options using BYD’s second-generation Blade battery and “flash charge” tech, claiming CLTC ranges of 535 km and 605 km. BYD says the system can charge from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and to 97% in 9 minutes at room temperature, enabled by a proprietary 1,500 kW single‑gun fast charger and energy storage to protect the grid. The e9 includes 6 kW V2L, Level-assist driving with 26 sensors, advanced parking, a front single motor up to 150 kW, and modern interior and connectivity features. This matters for EV charging infrastructure and fast‑charging adoption.
BYD’s new flagship D-segment EV SUV, the Datang EV, has surpassed 100,000 pre-sale orders after opening reservations at the Beijing Auto Show with a price range of ¥250,000–¥320,000. The seven-seat 2+2+3 SUV features BYD’s second-generation Blade battery, a 1,000V high-voltage architecture, single- or dual-motor (4WD) powertrains — the 4WD does 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds — and a claimed CLTC range up to 950 km. It supports BYD’s high-rate “flash charge” tech with a 10C battery and up to 1,000 kW peak charging potential, and includes advanced chassis and comfort features like rear-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, multiple entertainment screens and zero-gravity front seats. The model is due to launch in H1 2026.

Dimensions and interior largely match the 2025 BYD e9, and standard features include a panoramic sunroof and hidden door handles. Pricing context: the 2025 e9 started at RMB 169,800. Why it matters: it highlights rapid charging adoption and product-line strategy as BYD expands sub-brands and charging infrastructure.
